InsoftDEV Announces the Release of the 2nd Version of the Taxi Dispatch System (OTDS)

The team at InsoftDEV has come to an agreement regarding when the 2nd version of their Taxi Dispatch System will be released. This will be a revamp of the previous one, which has been released in December last year. It is believed to fix all the essential issues of the previous application.

Apparently the application which supports creating and managing online bookings for taxi companies will be going live on the 27th-28th of August. There is going to be a downtime in the websites where it is implemented of about one hour.

The dispatch system has apparently reached a point in its development where there are only slight issues which need to be fixed, and it is otherwise completely functional. The second version of the application features a complete overhaul of some of the features, as well as a completely new taxi allocator module, which appears to be one that has the potential to change the very essence of what cab allocation is like.

Other than that, from what we were able to see, there is going to be a design approach to how the system is organized – unlike the previous version, this time the usability and accessibility of the application has been one of the points that received the most work. Another great aspect is the implementation of new search algorithms, which are meant to increase the efficiency of what the client needs to find.

Until all of this is going live, there is a lot of anticipation regarding the effect that this will have on the companies already using the Taxi Dispatch System. While the change will be taking place, there will be a slight period of downtime, yet the developer team assures us that there is nothing to be concerned about, as tests have been ongoing and everything will be prepared for a smooth shift between versions
